Having now watched three episodes of the new Hawaii Five-O, I posed the question to daisy_knotwise, "What version of the Constitution are they using in Hawaii?"

Gretchen suggested that it comes from the days of the old monarchy and that the Governor is actually the Queen of Hawaii. This is possible.

Although it's also possible that it's the same version of the Constitution that they used in 24. You never can tell...
