I have discovered today that if Katie is crying, I can get her to quiet down by singing The Carpenters Sing to her.

I have versions of that on a couple of Sesame Street tapes; the entire plot of one of them involves Big Bird trying to find "la-laers" so they can put on a show. He has no luck until Ladysmith Black Mombazo rolls in . . .
