The Answer is 42

My Guild guitar is 42 inches long. The wonderful new ATA-rated Gator case holds guitars up to 41.5 inches long. The Guild headstock is just a bit too large, so it doesn't fit.

As daisy_knotwise said, if it had a flattop instead of a pompadour, it would fit.

I'll have to break out a tape measure, but if a Guild 6 won't fit, I doubt any 12 would.
