The Answer is 42

My Guild guitar is 42 inches long. The wonderful new ATA-rated Gator case holds guitars up to 41.5 inches long. The Guild headstock is just a bit too large, so it doesn't fit.

As [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise said, if it had a flattop instead of a pompadour, it would fit.

*sigh*

So the Ultimate Question to Life, the Universe, and Everything is, "How long does a guitar have to be in inches before it cannot fit into the ATA-rated Gator case?"

So God is a guitarist?...

No Problem, I've got a sabre saw, be right over..

What? Oh, you WANTED that scroll work on the top of your guitar? Damn, you want EVERYTHING

If you have any trouble sending it back, I'll buy it from you...

I'll have to break out a tape measure, but if a Guild 6 won't fit, I doubt any 12 would.
