Tournament Basketball

The Illini men's team has moved on to the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA basketball tournament.

Let's see if they can go further.

(I am convinced that they could beat any team on any given night. There's also some danger that they could lose to any team on any given night. But there are fewer "any teams" left to lose to, as the competition is getting tougher.)

I was just listening to someone on the radio explaining why there aren't any "any team"s left in the NCAA tournament because of the big money schools being able to buy all the talent that emerges in smaller schools.

It's certainly fair that the players whose talent makes billions of dollars for the major athletic conferences get paid, but it's less and less sane to call them college students.
