Our dryer has been stopping with a d90 error which -- according to the online manuals -- indicates that the exhaust path is 90% obstructed. It doesn't do this all of the time, but it is doing it with sufficient frequency to be really irritating.

We had the dryer vent cleaned out earlier this year, so it seemed really unlikely that could be the culprit. I bought a set of nozzle attachments for our shop vac so that I could shove one down inside the lint trap on the inside and try to remove anything that was there, but it didn't seem to be helping.

Then on Prime Day, I saw someone advertising lint trap cleaners of ginormous size. They were like a test tube brush, except *huge* both in length and diameter. They came in pairs.

So I bought a pair.

On Saturday, when I wasn't working, I was running a couple of loads of laundry. Somewhere during the process, I pulled out the lint brush and shoved it into the inside lint trap. Lint came out. *Lots* of lint came out. I pulled it off the brush and repeated the process several times. Then I vacuumed up the residue with the shop vac.

The load of heavy jersey later that day dried properly.

I may have found a solution. Or not.

Because this is an intermittent problem. And intermittent problems have been the bane of my existence lately.

But it's progress.
