billroperYes, I'm still going through the filk file. And I found a napkin that I can only think was written in advance of Dorsai Thing 31, the Decadent Thing, which we held in Chicago some years back. I'm assuming that I wrote this -- at least, it's in my handwriting:
Decadent Things
(To the tune of "My Favorite Things")
Single-malt scotches and bright silk kimonos.
Chocolate cheesecake and other rich no-nos.
Guitars and filkers arranged in a ring.
These are a few of our decadent things.
Long-legged women in stretchy red dresses.
Black leather pirates whose physique impresses.
Chilis and chowders that everyone brings.
These are a few of our decadent things.
In Chicago, one March weekend, at the William Tell,
We've 31 flavors of Decadent Things.
You'll surely know why you fell.
