According to ESPN, Sammy Sosa (and a wad of cash) has been traded to the Baltimore Orioles for Jerry Hairston and two minor leaguers.
One of Todd Walker and Jerry Hairston is about to be pounding his head against the wall. I'm betting on Walker...
(There's one second baseman too many. And although Hairston can play the outfield, he really wants to go back to second base where he's probably better defensively than Walker. Stay tuned.)

Date: 2005-01-30 11:21 pm (UTC)Which, really, brings me to a separate point. Barry Bonds has pretty much straight-out admitted steriod use, but I've never hear a word said about Sosa either way. Is it a case of me being blind (we rarely get decent NL coverage here), or did Sosa not go through the suspiciously sudden bulking up that Bonds did?
