Waiting for the Chirp, Chirp, Chirp...
Sep. 19th, 2022 09:56 pmI was driving east on Dempster on my way to lunch today. As I crossed the railroad tracks, I noticed a ginormous bird of prey swooping down the road in front of me, where it grabbed something from the street (probably a squirrel, a mouse, or similar) and then soared away, presumably to enjoy its own lunch.
Looking at the wingspan and coloration (and knowing that we have some nearby), I conclude that I most probably saw a bald eagle doing its predator thing.
Cool!
