We got off in fairly good time this morning, but a wreck near Michigan City sent us off on a detour after lunch and then there was the construction. We were better off than Sam and Bonnie whose van lost an alternator near Benton Harbor forcing them to rent a car to get here.

When we got in, I started setiing up for Seanan's concert with Wild Mercy and Mary Crowell. The cocert went quite well. I really didn't surface until after tear down, so I'll set up the table in the morning. But I had a nice conversation with Erica and Steve before heading up to the room.

Everyone else is asleep. The only reason I'm still up is that I wanted to see the highlights of the Cards 1-0 win over the Phils to take the first round of the playoffs. Yay!

Congrats on your Cards making it to the NLCS! It turned out to be a fantastic pitching duel. We can only hope that we see the same quality of games in the next round.

Unfortunately for the Cards, I have Brewers vs. Rangers in the World Series. I want to see another of Mike Scioscia's protégés make it to the Big Show (Though, wouldn't it be nice if they were still on our team!)

Ah ha. dunkelpig supposed that the neighbors must be having a party, but the tone and timing all sounded much more like Watching A Big Game Together.

We have lived in Philadelphia since ca. 2003. Can you tell that I'm not much of a sports fan and that D. (who is) was more asleep than awake?
