Back In the Swim

It's the last week that the pool is open and the hours have been cut back so that the pool closes at 7 PM instead of 9 PM. Accordingly, we took advantage of the good weather today to bundle Katie and Julie off to the pool in the late afternoon.

This means that I got to do more work when we got home, but it seems like a fair trade. :)

I hope your family had a good time at the pool. These are definitely the days when summer is winding down; very welcome at my house because the weather is finally starting to get cool enough that being outside is pleasant rather than an exercise in endurance.

I wondered about that, too. The answer is simple.
Most of the lifeguards and staff are college kids.
They are heading back to school soon.
