Trip Planning

So
samwinolj and Bonnie came over this afternoon to run to Sam's Club with me (because I have the card) to do the bulk shopping for Picnicon this weekend. (If you're in the Chicago area, you should come. Normally, we'd do this on the day of or the day before, but we're flying out to Las Vegas for
catalana's wedding tomorrow, so that's the schedule that works. We had talked of taking the girls to the pool before going shopping, but the scheduling went to pot.
jeff_duntemann and Carol are in town and came by to join us, Sam, and Bonnie for dinner and to get the weekend briefing. That's good.
The vest that the tuxedo rental place ordered for me doesn't fit. That's bad, but the correct vest is now being shipped to Henderson, Nevada. :)
And the forecast for tomorrow is for thunderstorms, which is going to make getting out of Chicago exciting.
I could use less excitement. :)

Date: 2011-06-09 07:07 pm (UTC)As I'm reading over this post, I note that the link that the link for the words "you should come" (which I assume is to the Picnicon site) is in visited-link color. This is odd, I think, because I'm pretty sure I haven't gone to the site. So I mouse over the link, and the preview says that it points to my friends page. That is very odd, I say, why would Bill include a link to my friends page in his post about Picnicon? So I look at the HTML source and I discover that it's actually a link to nowhere, href="", which my browser interprets as a link to the page I'm currently viewing.
(For the benefit of any readers who actually wanted to know about Picnicon, the URL is http://www.isfic.org/picnicon/ .)
