samwinolj and Bonnie joined us for dinner tonight, much to the delight of Katie and Julie who spent much of the afternoon and evening monopolizing their Uncle Sam. The pre-dinner centerpiece of the activity involved a scene Katie insisted on playing with Julie and Sam based on a new "Team Umizoomi" episode. Apparently, Katie and Julie were mermaids with glow-in-the-dark tails who had to be captured by Sam, the evil squid who lived in the castle and wanted their pretty tails.

Sam felt there was something subtly wrong about this, although it seems that the squid was simply afraid of the dark...
