Eight new inches on the ground as of 9 PM. Thirty-plus MPH winds with 60 MPH plus gusts. Lightning and thunder. The snow is flying in a circle around the cul-de-sac, which made life interesting for the city snowplow that was trying to clear it earlier.

We'll see how things look by morning.

We're getting it right now, too. They just said there was 11 inches in Benton Harbor. They also just said some in our area heard thunder.

I heard a weather guy say years ago that when there's thunder and lightning you get more precipation, whether rain or snow. First time I ever had T&L in a snowstorm, back in the 80s it freaked me out.
