Way Too Early

I've got a doctor's appointment at 8:00 AM on the south side. This means that I had to get up way too early this morning. And apparently because I had to get up way too early, I got a lousy night's sleep.

For the longest time, when I had to get up early in the morning (like, early enough to work a day job, *any* day job) I would lie awake all night waiting for the alarm to go off. In any event, best of luck dealing with your appointment.

My variant is: lie awake all night and finally go to sleep twenty minutes before the alarm is due to go off...

I had to take my mom to get blood work this morning, and I did the same thing, didn't get a good night's sleep because I had to get up early. I'm sure I didn't have to drive as far as you did, tho.
