The Luckiest Man on Earth
Sep. 11th, 2010 07:05 pmI was reading Glenn Reynolds' Instapundit post on the ninth anniversary of the September 11 attacks and chose to click through to this article that he linked to.
And there was the 9/11 story of the luckiest man on Earth. And how amazing that your life can turn on such a tiny thing.

Date: 2010-09-12 12:30 am (UTC)Eddie was supposed to drop off the dry cleaning on September 10th, but he forgot. Eddie's wife is an investment banker who worked in the World Trade Center. She needed her outfit cleaned and pressed for a big meeting later that week, so that morning they dropped off the dry cleaning on the way to work, which caused her to miss her ferry. The two of them had a huge argument while waiting for the next ferry.
She was standing outside the of the World Trade Center, furious that Eddie had made her late for work, when she saw the first plane hit. She did not enter the building.
The two of them are still married and they live in Tokyo.
