So after I finished updating the website last night, [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise asked me to upload the annotations for Library Song that we wrote for the songbook that we donated to the Interfilk auction at Concertino. And as long as I was at it, I could also upload the annotations that I wrote for Hanging Harry Truman on LiveJournal this morning.

The problem was that I've never actually updated the website save by hand-editing the HTML that [livejournal.com profile] tarkrai created for us with a really old version of Dreamweaver.

Of course, I've got a recent copy of Dreamweaver.

And now I've actually created two web pages in it.

This could be dangerous. :)

Hand-editing code that Dreamweaver generated is a miserable experience; I've done it. Bletch.

It also has ideas about how a site should be organized that differ strongly from mine.

Yes, but it's better than hand-editing the code created by most *other* programs. And I'm not enough of a coder to go solely with vi and copy of Firefox... :)

As a tool to dynamically edit code and see changes WYSIWYG, it has no compare that I've seen.

Go, Bill!

Trying to update *my* version of Dreamweaver now. Adobe is NOT making it easy... :/

I see your page indirectly addresses the question in my earlier comment. So in this scenario, the reason Truman was hanged was really that his inaction let the Soviets take Berlin (and presumably get more power in general in eastern Europe than they did in our history) -- in other words, he indirectly helped the Communists. That makes more sense, though I still think hanging would be very unlikely.
