Cool

The new air conditioning unit is installed and the house is cool.

We're several thousand dollars out of pocket, but "cool" is worth a good bit of money. :)

So it took more than just a recharge?

Oh, yeah. It got a recharge in the middle of June. By last week, it had leaked enough freon that it needed a booster shot to get through the weekend.

We've been nursing the old unit along for several years now, recharging once a year. It was officially time to give up on it.
