Well, I've wired in the DTA equipment to restore the channels that Comcast truncated as part of their so-called digital "upgrade". As soon as I get a bit of time, I'll be putting in Direct TV and a rooftop antenna.

Because they've really annoyed me by scrambling channels that were never scrambled before.

Our DTV package included installation, as well as local stations. We still use the OTA antenna for the digital locals, as DTV doesn't quite have the bandwidth to carry those for everyone :)

We're looking pretty hard at going the opposite direction, as much as I like the DTV setup; we're now out of the initial contract, and the rates have more or less doubled for our package (phone, internet, and DTV), without any of the increased DSL speed we've been promised for over two years now ::sigh::

And you wonder why I'm trying to figure out how to rid myself of cable. I have limited basic, but for several years I was getting stuff I no longer get because 1) of the digital conversion and 2) because Comcast realized I was getting too much service. I guess I'll be limited to whatever I can get on my computer after I receive a new program which should allow me to watch TV on the computer instead.
