Duckon's going well so far. We got off to the con a bit late, as I had to handle some things at work at the last minute, but we got here, got unpacked, and managed to make it to Opening Ceremonies on time. There, I got to sing "Time Warp" with Toyboat and company (company being Seanan, Amy, Tom, and me). Then Gretchen was up for "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" where she did a fine job, along with the rest of the crew. We then grabbed dinner with Erica and Debbie, the girls being safely ensconced in babysitting. When I got there to pick them up a bit after 10 PM, they were both sound asleep. This never happens!

Gretchen was tired and put the girls to bed. I headed down to the filk, where a great deal of fun was had.

And now I've checked the work e-mail and I'm going to bed. :)

Man, I really wish I was there in Chicago this weekend for Duckon. Sounds a lot more fun than being here cleaning the house.

DucKon always draws a lot of good filkers I don't see elsewhere, not even at CapriCon or WindyCon (which are also local). Hopefully the parties are a little better tonight than they were last night, but either way I'm sure I'll be up late in the filk room since I have to be OK to drive home.

I really should look into attending it someday.
