Katie's got a small problem with the letter "s" in some words. As a result, "disk" comes out "dick". And when Katie asked to see the doggie dick tonight, we knew -- from experience -- that what she really wanted was to watch a DVD.

"Gromit?" asked [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise

"No! With kitty."

Hmm. Ah! The new Bolt DVD that I bought for her and showed her over the weekend.

So Gretchen and Katie watched Bolt while I continued to work on taxes.

The end is near, somewhere.

That's cute. :-) Just make sure those who aren't used to her diction don't jump all over her and you for "using bad words" -- I've seen that happen, and when it does, it can get rather weird in a hurry. (And it's their responsibility to find out what's really being said, not yours -- it's your child, not theirs!)

But it's a really good doggie dick, especially if they were to have 3D. They don't? Rats.

Well, there's the (in)famous story about Alan in the toy store. Problems with his p's and tr came out f, so dump truck turned into "dum f***". Loudly and publicly.
