Right now, the weather outside is cold, but fairly decent. However, the latest forecast calls for five or more inches of snow tonight into tomorrow morning. This makes me rather happy that I decided that it wasn't nearly time to decommission the snow blower in preparation for spring.

The forsythia still thinks it's about to be spring, but is in for a rude awakening.

In the meantime, we went by the Jewel and collected dinner makings for tonight and tomorrow, so we won't have to spend a lot of time dealing with the snow.

Save for blowing it off the driveway, of course.

We're only in for a couple-three inches, but my daffodils are in for a shock too. Fortunately, none of them have started to open, and the buds are frost-resistant.

The good news is that it will melt off on Monday.

My daffodils are up and open, but it looks like the snow's not going to make it this far so I'm hopeful that my blooming things will stay happy through the cold snap!

When we headed out of the CR area in blowing rain on Thursday, the forecast was still for "a chance of snow" for today. Now, they're calling for 6 to 8 inches of snow, sleet, and freezing rain.

Looks like the drive back on Sunday and Monday will be interesting ...

I don't think you want to know what the weather is like here.
