So I was reading to Katie from If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. We've read this book a lot.

"If you give a mouse a cookie, he's going to ask for a glass of milk.
When you give him the milk, he'll probably ask you for a straw.
When he's finished, he'll ask for napalm."

"Napalm!" daisy_knotwise cried out. "What are you reading her?"

"Apocalypse Mouse," I replied.

I once sang to the kids to the tune of 'Turkey in the Straw':

If you give a mouse a cookie he will eat it right down
He will leave a lot of crumbs to bring the ants around
While the ants clean up the mouse gets a fresh shirt
When ants are all done he eats them up for dessert.
