So one of the two urinals in the men's room here at work apparently decided to die about a month ago. It spent a couple of weeks covered up with a plastic bag. The second urinal, well, being charitable about it, simply didn't flush well, as the flow of water was sub-minimal.

After a couple of weeks of this, I asked our receptionist if the building intended to actually fix the covered up urinal. And two days later, they finally did.

Since then, the urinal periodically overflows. I suspect this was the original problem. When it does, the men's room floods. I dutifully report the floods to our receptionist who calls the building to let them know that our cup, once again, runneth over.

Today, I walked into the men's room and discovered that they've fixed the problem.

They've put one of the little yellow standees down that says "Wet Floor".

Thanks, guys!

So, essentially to "fix" it, they removed the plastic bag.

Ooooh. So you wanted them to really fix it. Just wait until somebody get hurt by slipping in it. Watch out yourself- you don't want to hurt your knee again

Uhhh... can't you just do like you do at home and use the regular toilet. (Which I trust is also available in the men's room?)

This is the same management technique the local road commission has applied to the horrendous crop of potholes which blossomed on our asphalt streets this winter. After weeks of inaction, last Monday they dispatched a dozen trucks to bolt up large yellow ROUGH ROAD signs at intersections all over the county...

I seem to recall being in the car with my Mom as she was dropping a friend of one of my older siblings off after some event. As we turned down the road in Albuquerque's North Valley where the friend lived, they informed us that the reason that there was a "Speed Control Ahead" sign was for the potholes.
