Ok, yes, sometimes I can be one. And sometimes I have to deal with figurative ones. But when you have two parents who died of colon cancer, a literal one tends to make you worry.

In an attempt to avoid TMI, I'll just say that I noticed on Thursday that something hurt. I saw Dr. Bob today and he informs me that the problem is not a large one, it is behaving well, and that the prescription involves sitting in a warm bathtub.

"I'm sorry, dear, you'll have to watch the children. I must go sit in a warm tub. Doctor's orders!"

Yes, the joys of a warm bath ...

I'm thinking about writing a song ... I don't expect that I will, but I am thinking about it.

Been there, done that. Fortunately, surgery is not indicated. (But it is still a right royal pain in the behind...)

Yup, with that kind of medical family history, it's definitely best to take anything out of the ordinary seriously enough to get it checked out. Glad that whatever it is is nothing major! *hug*
(My dad died of colon cancer, too, I know it's decidedly not pleasant at all!)
