And the conversation reminded me that I should mention this:

The bathrooms are finally done. I moved myself in last night and actually used the master bath this morning. Unfortunately, the new shower head appears to have a water-saver embedded in it that has reduced the flow to a trickle, but that can be fixed one way or another.

There's a reason I live near a lake.

There are water saving shower heads that give a more satisfying shower than any full flow shower I've used, and then there are water saving shower heads that feel like a tiny trickle and are totally unsatisfying. Saving water is a good thing, but the latter kind of shower head should be terminated with extreme prejudice. This is doubly so given that the difference in water use the shower head makes is pretty small compared to the amount of water wasted by leaky plumbing and excessive lawn watering, both of which are quite common.
