billroperThe Wall Street Journal (sorry, no link) reports in today's edition that the Republican-leaning Progress for America Voter Fund has collected $35 million and "plans a barrage of commercials criticizing Democratic challenger John Kerry". Other Republican-leaning 527s appear to have been organizing since the Federal Election Commission decided in May not to attempt to limit the 527 activities during this election cycle.
The good news is that I won't see most of these (or the Democratic-leaning 527 ads) because I live in Illinois.
