Ah, well. Win some, lose some.

The Blues got within two seconds of eliminating the arguably best team in the NHL. It was a good try. Especially given how well they had to play following the break to make the playoffs at all.

If anyone who does not follow the sport shows up here to let me know how they are happy that my team lost, I will summarily block them.

No worries from here. While the Caps did make it to the second round this time, as a long-suffering Caps fan I am sadly well-acquainted with the pain of first round losses.

Not to mention my gloating over any NHL team's demise is largely limited to the Penguins, Rangers and Islanders. The only Western Conference team I might have a valid claim against are the Red Wings.
