So I called [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise on the way to lunch to see how things were going. She reported that she had given in to Katie and that one of the Pooh videos was on the TV. We then segued off to discussion of dinner, which will be half-price pizza from Salerno's. Gretchen, who has heard much too much of the Pooh videos started the following bit, I supplied some editing:

The wonderful thing about pizza
Is you get it in less than an hour.
The top's made from mozzarella.
The bottom is made out of flour.

Unlike Tigger, the pizza will not bounce well. Or -- more to the point! -- if it does, I suspect that you don't want to eat it.

Maybe you could write about how stretchy the pizza is, YUM! "And the most wonderful thing about pizza is, It's on it's way to my tum!"

Nah, pizza should be flung and spiralled in the air, but if it hits the ground it should either hit with a thud or a gentle flumph, depending on how rolled out it is.

Are you sure the third line scans properly? It strikes me as having an extra syllable.

I dunno, does that third line have to rhyme with anything? I'm thinking that changing it to:

"The top is covered with cheeses"

might work (and would also allow for the people who like to use more than just mozzarella cheese on their pizza)

IMHO, it's short a syllable, which could be fixed by un-contracting top's

though that leaves "made" unaccented, which isn't ideal...

Even though I would not want to eat pizza that bounced, I also would not want to eat it if it fell on the floor and stayed there either.

LOL! We had a "Pizza Song" to be sung when the delivery person arrived, which Joseph once loved and is now mortified to be reminded of.
Pizza, pizza here comes pizza
Pizza, pizza yum yum pizza
Pizza pizza eat the pizza
Joseph loves a pizza.

If it's not bouncy you're just not handling it right. _First_ you put it in Katie.

The only food that's supposed to bounce back are ricochet biscuits.

I'm not sure I'd want to eat Tigger post bounce either...
