Just as an educated guess, I'd imagine that folks with a sufficiently fine-tuned technical awareness to check and rigorously test your work are probably pretty rare.

That's frequently true, but this feature seems to me to be fairly straightforward to test. I don't think anyone's actually run the correct test on it at any time in the past, but...
