Ok, we're not getting anything like what the poor folks down in Texas are getting tonight. But we appear to be under a flood watch. A big flood watch.

See, the ground is already saturated from the recent rain. The humidity is ludicrously high. And a warm front is coming through tonight, so it's going to rain a few inches.

The cold front comes through tomorrow. Then it's supposed to rain a few more inches.

Then the remnants of Ike are supposed to arrive on Sunday and drop more rain on us.

I'm glad that I don't live near a river.

Singin' in the rain

Glub. We've got a 'bit' of water in the basement -I know where from. Its made worse by the gutter that's busted thanks to the Aug 4 storms. We're working on getting it fixed, but it's a long process. The issue concerning me more is I think we've got a leak on our roof by the gable in the very front of the house. I'm bettting it's the flashing, but I dunno yet. I need to get into the crawlspace in the ceiling to get a look.

This is very not good. I'm up at 0532 cause it was dripping into the bedroom. I can't do much right now until it gets a bit lighter here.

I'm very not happy here.

We're at over 3" since yesterday. We were at 0.23" at 10pm last night.

It's been raining for days up here in Michigan. We managed to have Libby's wedding go off without a hitch though.
