daisy_knotwise bundled Julie off to the pediatrician today for her four month checkup. Everything looks good. She's 26 and 3/4 inches long and 17 lbs. 3 oz. in weight, which puts her in the 100th and 98th percentiles respectively, so the slight chunkiness that we were keeping an eye on appears not to be a problem. Or as the doc said, "She's a big baby." The minor drooling and spit up problem we've noticed is also pretty normal. Apparently, she's big on sucking, but occasionally forgets about the whole swallowing part of the activity. *sigh* :)
In other news, Gretchen reports that Katie is now tall enough to operate door knobs and to press the elevator call button at the doctor's office. This wasn't true two months ago.

Mere's cousins in South Dakota are all big and tall, and range in age from 15 to 9, and are all BIG girls. Mere is - well, slim, and small, and Southern Chinese. Honks her off no end that she's not as big as her cousins. She's the youngest and the smallest in her class, and that doesn't help.
