I hate it when I'm asked for an e-mail address, pull it up in the CC field for the response that I'm sending, and then forget to delete it from the CC field before sending my response back. Makes me feel like a complete idiot.

*sigh*

On the other hand, it appears that there's no harm done. :)

I can relate. And I think you've tapped into the exact center of what created "DOS For Dummies" and all its descendants -- perfectly intelligent people (sometimes even the technocognoscenti) being made to feel momentarily brain-dead by a quirk of technology. And the industry will keep kickin' out products that do that to us, whether by virtue of new hardware or new features or new OS requirements. Its effect on its users is probably like thousands of little future shocks that happen below the threshold of awareness. There's always to much to shoulda-known.
