RIP Hot Dog Island

daisy_knotwise and I were driving down Dempster St. on our way over to visit our friend Jerry for our annual pre-Christmas dinner with him, Bonnie, and Sam when I saw the marquee on Hot Dog Island: Closed, For Sale. I wouldn't have thought that losing my business when my office moved would have been that big a blow. *sigh*

More seriously, now I'm going to have to try e-mailing Ronnie Rice to see if I can find out what the story was.

But I miss the place a little more now that it's not there at all.

I know the feeling: I was in my old Chicago neighborhood over the weekend and saw that "my" Carson's Ribs restaurant had closed and the building was up for sale. Man, I didn't think I ate there that much!
