The freezing rain has covered anything that wasn't salted with a nasty layer of really slick ice. We found this out when we went out to lunch with [livejournal.com profile] decadentdave and Erin and, after dropping everyone off at the door, I had to inch across the parking lot to avoid killing myself -- or perhaps ruining another knee. Neither would have been a good outcome.

After lunch, Dave and Erin headed back north while Gretchen, Katie, and I went to do a bit of shopping. On the way home, we picked up Pirates of the Caribbean 3, which we've just finished watching and shaking our heads at. What a muddled mess! *sigh*

Covered everything in Ypsi/AnnArbor too. The next door boy was running and sliding on it. I suggested if he was going to do that he ought to put on a bike helmet and HE TOOK MY ADVICE!

And this is why, when I had driven down to see George and Diana Saturday, I drove back home into Canada the same day. Ice storms are not my favourite part of winter.

Are you certain you saw the same Pirates 3 that I did? I loved it ... 8/

Blown knee = bad. No do that. Yea, we refreshed our ammo in the war on ice tonight. We got caught out yesterday and Sue emptied half a box of Morton's table salt on the walk. It did help.
