I also added a partial chronological index of songs. It's partial because I don't remember when I wrote some of these songs. But I'm working on it...

"Challenge" was on the Technical Difficulties tape Station Break (1988)

and I covered "Wind from Rainbow's End" on my MSM at Bayfilk cassette that is dated 1982, but I'd been singing it for at least a year before that, I think.

AHA! My lyric sheet for "Wind from Rainbow's End" cites 1981 as the copyright date.

"Challenge" was written by 1987, I'm pretty sure. I'm just trying to decide if it was written any earlier. Thanks for the subsequent pointer on "Rainbow's End"!

I started writing the lyrics to Library Song at the Confusion with the blizard. It too me a year to finish them. So the date for that song is the year after the Confusion with the blizzard.
I was working for Elsie at the time and I started with her summer of '81.
So that puts between '82 and '84. So, I'd say, '83.

I've got a Grim Roper list, so anything on there has to be 1987 or before. But that doesn't show when those songs were actually written, nor does it necessarily prove that a particular song hadn't been written when Grim Roper came out.

At this point, I'm reasonable sure that "Challenge" was written in 1987, because I'm pretty sure I had it in hand just recently when I was in California recording the Grim Roper. I think.
