There's something mildly disconcerting when you are about to drop a used paper towel into the trash receptacle in the men's room at your place of employment and there's the waxy pink cover of a panty shield staring up at you. At least, you don't expect to find this in the men's room...

Or it could be from the reverse of something that happened to me in college. The johns in that building were below ground level, and the men's room floor was under an inch or more of water that day, and I HAD to go. So I went to the women's room, knocked and called real loud, got no answer, went into a booth, and did what I had to. (I heard someone come in and called out an explanation, and when another young woman came in and did a double-take to see me washing up at the sink, the first woman repeated my explanation to her.)
