billroperIn other medical news, I picked up my new CPAP today. The original CPAP still runs, but is over a decade old and apparently an antique by modern standards. The plastic covers over the buttons have started to come off as the plastic dies of old age.

daisy_knotwise's much newer CPAP is periodically refusing to turn on. The other night, I removed the silicone rubber start button and used a hairpin to hit the two contacts inside the switch so that Gretchen could get a good night's sleep.
So there's something to be said for my antique machine -- which is going up on a shelf to wait for the day when another CPAP decides to malfunction.
