As I pulled onto the Tri-State this morning, the DJ on WDRV announced that after the commercials, they'd be playing Gordon Lightfoot's "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". As I pulled into the parking lot at work, the song ended.

In fairness, there were a lot of commercials. :)

But it's good to be able to get to and from work that quickly.

That was the little-known extended version of "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" with the 20-minute power metal drum solo, right?

Also, in fairness, it's a looooooooooooooong song. *g*

When I was in Thunderbay in the late '70's the local DJ (there was only one) played it every morning, Monday to Friday, after the 7:30 news. If I wasn't out of bed by the time the cook came on deck, I knew I didn't have a hope in hell of making my 8 o'clock class.
