The boss is in town today, so I'm playing tourist at the Loop (actually, just barely River North) office. As I predicted, the commute was an hour and 25 minutes, close enough to an hour and a half for government work.

Getting home will be entertaining, as it appears that many of the trains don't actually stop in Des Plaines, but since [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise dropped me off this morning, she can go to Mount Prospect if need be to rescue me. (Having a meeting scheduled from 4:30 to 5:30 doesn't help in the process of finding a "good" train.)

We'll see how it goes.

Try Cumberland; it usually worked for me.

Of course, you don't need its other advantage, lots of parking. (It used to be underutilized.)

Ok, forget that; it used to be, Cumberland was the first stop on the expresses; now, if it stops at Cumberland, it always stopped at Des Plaines first.
