It's sad when the All-Star Game is so one-sided that you're able to read 90+ pages of a dense work-related book while watching it.

I admit to not having followed All-Star Games in several years. But the 9-4 score seems strange. That's a 13-run game ...

My memory of the July break was of 1-0; 2-1; 3-2 or 3-1 pitching-dominated games (after all, they had the best pitchers from both leagues, and they maxxed out their play at 3 innings, so they didn't get tired). But the run-rate seems to be going up and up ...

Wha'happened??? Has batting become that good? Or is the pitching declining? I do suspect that Roger Clemens is a too well-known quantity among batters; but a 2-out fielding error(!) and Clemens' earned runs removed from the score, and you've still got a 4-3 game. That's a lot of runs ...

Makes me yearn for the good old days of the Federal League.
