I tripped over the melody line for this on Thursday night. When daisy_knotwise took some time getting Katie to sleep last night (and then thoughtfully headed off to spend some late night time on the computer while I finished things up), the lyrics came to follow.

kinda on the theme of "silver" i like it.
i thought you might be influnced by having a baby in the house and start writing songs about fatherhood ( happy first fathers day) love of children and such. maybe you dont tell us about those songs.???

(I'm completely bogged down setting "Monster in My Music" right now. The scansion worked great for a poem, but I haven't been able to make it work yet for a song without major overhaul.)

On "Monster": it looks to me like it might actually set to music as four lines to a verse, which would give you more room to play. It also feels pretty strongly rhythmic and my first thought was a tango, but I'm not sure that's quite the right rhythm.

Not sure if that's particularly helpful, but I figured I'd give it a shot...
