I love dogs. I miss having a dog. But posts like this one that [livejournal.com profile] ladyat brought to my attention help remind me that there are downsides to having a dog.

Reminds me of our late beagle Brandy.
Only she didn't mess around with trying to convince us she was starving first.

She also never barfed-back the random veggies.

If it would make you feel better, you can borrow one or both of mine for a day.

That should cure you.

Hilarious!!! :)
*sigh* But I still want a dog. Miss having one in my life, too, but I'm afraid I can't get one until I retire or something ...

You have a teething child, isn't that very much like the dog you link to?

You have a baby. In about three to at most seven months, you will have a mobile small toddler. You will be amazed at what your child decides to try to put into her mouth. Really, they pick it up, they ask, "Is this a food product?" Having no frame of reference, *anything* could be food! You will learn that 'childproofing' is much, much harder than 'dogproofing' - dogs do not have thumbs or little fingers.

If you thought that was funny, just wait!
