I got to work, tested the example file that I'd created for localization testing, and discovered that it was saved in a later version of the product and wouldn't open in the version that the localization folks were testing. Oops! So I readded the updates to the original file and saved it in the right version.

[livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise, Katie, and [livejournal.com profile] catalana picked me up for lunch on their way to the train station. A good (and filling) time was had by all. Then back to work, where I discovered that the dialog that I was getting ready to modify was a bit of a mess. Fortunately, it's an internal tool, so no real users get to see it. I cleaned it up and will have to port it back across two more code lines before this little project is done.

Then off to home, where [livejournal.com profile] daisy_knotwise had made dinner and we watched How I Met Your Mother, Heroes, and last week's ER.

Katie's being fussy, probably due to teething. We'll try to get her to settle down now...

Poor fussy girl. I hope she feels better soon!

I actually got something approaching enough sleep last night, so I may not be a zombie today during the exam! Go Erica!

Is it just me... or is ER getting ready to jump the shark.... yet again?

Yes! Sandy walked by while I was watching last week's episode and her comment was "What's the big deal about Neela. Why is everyone in love with her" In typical TV drama fashion the woman finally makes up her mind, and something dreadful must happen. Although I have this sinking feeling that what they want you to think happened... really didn't. Otherwise it would truly be page 104 from the screenwriter's handbook. (I just made up a page number)

If there was ever a workplace more desperately in need of a policy regarding the staff sleeping together I don't know where that is.

And the Mai Lee thing I didn't see coming from a mile away.

As much as I like the show... it's just getting more and more contrived as the years go on. Every now and then, I expect them to bring Dr. Green back from the dead somehow, because really... the show hasn't been the same since he left.

Perhaps one of the funniest shows on TV today. Although I think you saw a different episode than I did. Swarley... was some time back. But this week's episode was absolutely hillarious. Best line... "We thought of Native American Ceremonial Headdress before we thought of Hat"
