We ordered in Chinese food last night and I had the beef in garlic sauce. In retrospect, this may not have been the best choice. I slept pretty badly last night and my lower digestion ended up just a little bit wonky.
At work, I decided to get something for lunch from the little cafe downstairs because it was really, really cold out (at least if you're wearing shorts, which I am for my knee) and I didn't have a lot of time for lunch. I foolishly ordered the lasagna, which didn't sit that well.
By the time it got to be 4 PM, I had reached the point where concentration wasn't going to be happening, so I talked to Doug and excused myself to go home.
daisy_knotwise made me a bowl of soup and a roll for dinner, which is sitting much better. I'm hoping that I'll get a good night's sleep tonight and be feeling better tomorrow.

Date: 2007-04-05 04:24 am (UTC)Oh, and in regards to your comment on my post: I've switched over to Sudafed, which I'm not convinced is helping more than the other stuff. But I'm not convinced it's helping less, either. And a "take every 12 hours" ineffective pill is much better than a "take every 4 hours" ineffective pill, as I don't have to wake up to take it in the middle of the night. (Obviously they aren't completely ineffective if I'm bothering to take them; they just aren't helping much.) I'd started on the Sudafed but it wasn't doing much; that's why I asked my pharmacist for advice. But I should have known better - the fake pseudoephedrine stuff never works for me.
(And is it just me or is there something really funny about having a fake version of something that starts "pseudo" and thus is a fake itself? Maybe I'm just too tired.)

Date: 2007-04-05 04:23 pm (UTC)I'm assuming you were taking the Sudafed PE (for phenylephrine). If so, there are very, very few people it's actually effective on. There was a reason pseudoephedrine was developed - the phenylephrine (that hit the market first) didn't work!

Date: 2007-04-05 05:04 pm (UTC)And, no, I'm taking the Sudafed with real drugs in it. I was taking a Benadryl without real drugs in it (which is what the pharmacist recommended) for awhile before switching back. (I posted about all this in my LJ; I was just over here commenting on Bill and so I mentioned it to him. He'd noted that phenylephrine wasn't very useful to me earlier yesterday.) But thanks for the note! It's a shame that stupid laws get in the way of effective drugs. *sigh*

Date: 2007-04-05 11:11 pm (UTC)Of course, women go out all the time in miserable cold weather wearing skirts. But -- on the other hand -- the pantyhose have to cut the breeze at least a little bit. (I'm not saying "a lot"...)
