Half the Distance to the Goal Line

We got off later than intended last night, but made it to Lapeer, Michigan about 12:30 PM local time. The knee and attached leg seem to have survived the trip, with one stop for dinner. Katie slept most of the time that the car was moving, so overall we ended up in good shape.

Now it's time to pack up and continue on to Toronto...

Y'know, if I'd thought of it sooner, you could have stopped in Grand Rapids and picked me up, and I could have helped with the driving.

The car was actually pretty full, since the right front seat was pulled forward to make room for the bum knee...

Alan grew up in Davison, the next town over from Lapeer.

Did you see any traffic cops in Burton? It used to be a really bad speed trap.

Didn't see any that I recall, but we were far from the fastest thing on the road.
