Boom Today

So we came back from dinner, placed the CD orders for WindyCon, and then headed back to the studio where I laid down vocals for Pieces and You Are My Life demonstrating that I can currently sing above my break. Of course, the hot cider with cinnamon and cloves probably didn't hurt that any either.

Just to demonstrate that we are not completely neglecting catalana's album, daisy_knotwise laid down the tom part for Where Are You Going?, which would be the source of today's boom, a tom being rather like that when played with timpani mallets. :)

Gee, I didn't even remember we *were* laying down a tom part over the bodhran. (Under it? Against it? I have no idea what preposition works here.)

But I'm sure it sounds fabulous! *grin* With it, aren't I?

I think we were having a little mismatch problem with the bodhran on this song, so we thought we'd try laying something down with the tom to see how it works as a substitute. It sounds ok to us, but you'll obviously want to listen to it when you're here.

Gee, this wasn't the song that I thought we were having a mismatch on the bodhran with - that was Why You Haven't Heard of Me. (Aside from possibly the very end of WaYG?, when I wasn't sure the bodhran hit quite right.) Huh.

Well, I'll hear it this weekend. *Grin*
