billroperThe Cardinals finally broke their seven-game losing streak tonight, beating the Padres 4-2 on a 3-run homer by Albert Pujols in the bottom of the 8th, after wild-pitching in the lead run with two outs in the top of the 8th.
Phew. Their magic number is finally down to four, pending the completion of the Houston/Pittsburgh game (which Houston tied up in the top of the 9th and which is now heading to the bottom of the 14th).
