[livejournal.com profile] fuzzbucket_cat figured out how to push the collar off over his head. This is not a good thing, but the collar is back on again. And he hates it.

The cone-shaped medical collars I'm familiar with have loops/slots for stringing a standard ID-tag-type collar through it. If you were to fit [livejournal.com profile] fuzzbucket_cat with a full harness (collar and belly-band) he would be unable to get it off without somehow extricating his arms first ...

Just so you know, as long as you can get one or two fingers under the tie holding the collar on the cat, it's not too tight (my suggestion - one partner holds the cat, and puts two fingers under the tie while the other partner re-ties the tie).

And rigging it to a harness doesn't hurt, either.

That's an ingenious cat. Best of luck to you.

Would he like it better if you rubbed some catnip or tuna right next to where his nose would hit the side? Probably not but someone might be entertained--hopefully starting with Fuzzbucket!
