Well, yes, there is some. We've been busily recording catalana and decadent_dave for her project. I've gotten quotes from my CD duplicator. I don't know if I believe the quoted turnaround time, but it's a start.

quadrivium uploaded her really nice keyboard track for Winter Waltz yesterday and I need to load it into Cubase to work with, unless I decide just to record it back onto an ADAT because I'm a lazy slob and still need to lay a final guitar track against it anyway. :)

And the tapes from min0taur and Sally remain stubbornly in the mail. But this should change by tomorrow, I hope.

Now if I could just get these (failing) libraries that I'm using at work to recompile...

"7 to 10 working days from approval of the artwork proofs." Of course, they don't say how long it will take them to prepare the proofs. :)

I've discovered that people get around to producing albums when they're ready to invest the time in the project. When you're working a full time job, it can be hard to come up with the energy to do it.

I can agree with that... After converting tapes for one album and recording 3 more (1 released, 2 planned for November) for other people (I are the tech), it is a lot of work and trying to find the time to do the job RIGHT is not easy.

We were hoping for Worldcon on one of them, but it had too many flaws in the latest revision (and about 10 retakes needed.) At least the longest song on the 2nd album is only an editing fix vs rerecording fix.
